Thousands of young Catholics pour into Sydney for World Youth Day and Sydney has opened her heart to them. Young people won't be paying for expensive hotel rooms which they can't afford, they are being billeted by Catholic families right across the city or sleeping on classroom floors.
There are the usual whingers out there, the roads are stuffed, can't get into the city, bla bla bla but these young people have produced such a positive vibe for Sydney, they seem to be full of a joyful enthusiasm that's hard to put into words.
Welcome, I hope you have a fabulous World Youth Day experience in our beautiful city.
