Womens Tramp Stamp Tattoos

December 16th 2010 13:48
The tramp stamp, or lower back tattoo, is a popular tattoo placement for many women. It is considered a sexy and provocative tattoo that is seen when low rider pants and short shirts.

They're popular because they're a fad. Tramp stamps are a fad that will eventually fade out. These tattoos are considered sleezy to many people, which is where they lie, but you'll find that so many women have tramp stamps that it's become a norm.

Personally, that is the last place that I'll get a tattoo, unless it's just on the side of my lower back. I do not want a centered lower back tattoo, on the premise that it's a tramp stamp.

I mean, when Mattel released a Barbie in 2009 that featured a tramp stamp, that becomes a problem. In a way, it tells young girls that it's ok to show a little extra skin, wear their pants low and their shirts a little high. We might as well, let Mattel produce Barbie dolls with low cut shirts, showing a little cleavage. I mean, what's next Barbies with nose rings?

As for lower back tattoos, they can be quite pleasing, but they're not always the symbol of purity and innocence.

If you're thinking about getting a lower back tattoo, think carefully. Design something that you'll be ok with wearing and sporting on your body till your old and gray.

Common tramp stamp tattoos include tribal tattoos, fairies, butterflies, flowers, hearts, and stars.

Pictures of Women's Tribal Tattoos

December 13th 2010 19:11
Tribal tattoos were always a way to denote warrior status, marital status, age, tribal, and other special times and statuses, but for these more modern times, tribal tattoos are just pretty and attractive.

There may be some symbolism to some tattoos, but on average more people get tribal tattoos to either 1) fill up space around another tattoo, 2) to be a cover-up to an old tattoo, or 3) as just a nice tattoo.

You'll find that more men get tribal tattoos on their upper arms (sometimes as full arm tattoos) and on lower calves, but more women are starting to get tribal tattoos. The numbers are still higher for male tribal tattoos than female, but if you're a woman and you have found a nice tribal design that you like, then by all means, go for it.

You will find that many women will get tribal designs wrapped around other images, like butterflies, flowers, and names, but on occasion, women will get a pure tribal tattoo.

Popular Tattoos for Women

December 9th 2010 18:52
Women were once deemed a sheltered gender that had to wear long dresses with sleeves all day every day. They were to be in the house cooking and cleaning and mending to the children.

Today, that just isn't the case. Women are a strong gender that has proven to be just as important and individualized as men in almost every professional and personal field. So, it only comes to show why tattoos are not solely granted a men's luxury.

Every year, more women get tattooed, and every year, more trends come about as to what are more popular women's tattoo designs.

For the most part, women tend to go with more girly images that are fairer and lady-like, but that doesn't mean that you won't find some women with vicious looking dragons and demons tattooed on their bodies. It's just more common to see a woman with a cute flower or butterfly tattoo versus a demon skull or manly dragon.

Even the tribal tattoos for women are thinner and a little more lady-like than those you may see on a man.

The more popular women's tattoo designs generally include:
* Butterflies
* Celtic tattoos
* Dragonflies
* Dolphins
* Fairies
* Flowers
* Hearts
* Stars
* Tribal tattoos
* Zodiac symbols

And, you'll find that the more popular placements for tattoos on women will typically include:
* Above the ankle
* Foot
* Calf
* Hips
* Inside Wrist
* Lower back
* On the back shoulder blade
* Pubic area (just above, below, or around the panty line)
* Side
* Upper arm

Girls Can Have Tattoos Too!

March 2nd 2009 10:31
There are so many people who feel that tattoos are a masculine thing. I mean, it reality there are so many tattoo designs that are masculine. You have your dragons, demons, skulls, etc., but that doesn't mean that a woman can't rack a dragon tattoo or a skull. In reality, women can be just as sexy in a tattoo than a man can, as long as the tattoo is done right and as long as it is in the right spot.

You can have two of the exact same tattoo but in two different places, and have one look more feminine than another, and if you're looking for feminine you definitely want to consider the placement of the tattoo and the design will follow behind.

I personally have three tattoos with plans for more, and I don't think they are necessarily masculine, but at the same time it could be because I'm not the most masculine female, although I'm not the most feminine either. But anway...

If you think that woman can't have tattoos and still look sexy, think again because there are a number of sexy women with tattoos.

And, no I wouldn't necessarily claim Kat von De one of those women, as she is pure covered in tattoos; although I wouldn't say she's ugly or unattractive either. I just think there is a way to look sexy with tattoos.

Common places for tattoos on women can include but not limit the following body parts.

* Ankle
* Chest
* Foot
* Leg
* Lower back
* Upper back
* Wrist

Personally, I don't think that upper arm tattoos are very feminine, but I'm sure if you were able to find the perfect tattoo design that complemented the shape of the arm, then an upper arm tattoo can look great on a woman.

It's also in the design. Although, as a woman I believe that females can get any design they want and make it look as feminine as they want. But, generally speaking, there are different designs that you can choose to make any tattoo design more feminine. Consider the following.

* Butterflies
* Flowers
* Hearts
* Lettering
* Stars
* Swirls

Remember that these suggestions should NEVER limit you or your tattoo design. I mean, I have a mascule tattoo on my left shoulder blade, that has no sign of femininity to it. (It's an American Pit Bull Terrier tattoo.)
