Cellulite is fat that collects underneath the surface of the skin and causes a dimply, ripply appearance. It's not the most attractive aspect of nice long legs, and it's certainly not something that women want to experience.
Cellulite is more common on older women, but at the same time, it's not uncommon to see younger ladies with the beginnings of a bad cellulite. Cellulite most commonly appears on the hips, thighs, and butt.
In order to prevent cellulite and avoid the unsightly appearance of ripply skin, follow these basic tips.
* Include plenty of fruits, vegetables and fiber in your diet.
* Drink plenty of fluids to keep your body well-hydrated.
* Maintain good muscle tone and strong bones with regular exercise.
* Try to stay at a healthy body weight, and avoid frequently gaining and losing weight.
* Don't smoke, as smoking hinders proper circulation and adds toxins to your body.
When watching what you eat, you want to make sure that you avoid certain foods that can increase the chances of developing cellulite.
1. Processed Meat such as salami, pastrami, and bacon as they contain high amounts of sodium.
2. Potato chips and French Fries are just plain junk foods.
3. Mayonnaise and Dips are very rich in fat and cholesterol.
