The days are getting shorter and so are the nights. At least that’s how it feels to me
If I need a break I now have a way out. All I have to do is put Josh in the swing and we’re both lulled into a peaceful state. Works every time. And so far no signs of the swing losing its magical power by my overuse. And, trust me, I’ve been using it a lot. Finally, Josh is getting some much needed sleep and I’m getting a very, very much needed break.
It’s amazing how different the world looks when you’re not constantly on edge. Who knew 24/7 of crying could do so much emotional damage (to me) in such a short time. Oh and did I mention that we’re all getting a solid 4 hours of sleep a night. That hasn’t hurt my improving mood either. Praise the Lord I think I’m finally getting a hang of this mother stuff.
Guess what. 20/20 has scheduled an airing date for the colicky baby episode. Of course my husband has alerted the media. Well at least every friend and family member he could reach. He’s very excited and truth be told I suppose now that they’re not camping out in my house, I’m kinda looking in forward to my fifteen minutes of fame as well.
Here’s something I thought I’d never say again…gotta go read some Danielle Steele. I may be a mother but I’m not dead yet. And even if I am still too tired to do “it” myself it feels good to know I’m thinking about doing “it” again. Maybe… Oiy, guess I haven’t fully recovered from Josh’s nonstop wails yet. I do still hear his piercing screams when I’m taking a shower and no I’ve checked and it’s not him it’s me (headcase me that is).
