For those of us who find Halloween their favorite holiday, and just want to celebrate Halloween on a wedding day, then by all means, go for it. If you're going to do it, though, go all out. You want to make sure that you buy up all the Halloween decorations that you can in advance. If you're already engaged when one Halloween day goes but, I'd recommend buying all the decorations the day after when they're on sale. That way you can have everything ready.

But, if you really want to have a Halloween theme wedding, have the wedding set on Halloween, the day before, or the day after. It's really up to you. You could have it in March if you wanted. Just go all out with it. The holiday is known for lavish decorations, so don't skimp on your wedding.

When it comes to choosing the cake, there are a lot of options ranging from ghosts, graveyards, skeletons, witches, zombies, and even popular Halloween themed movie characters.

Halloween wedding cakes are spooky, and even though the idea of a Halloween themed wedding seems new and different to some people, it's actually a theme that's pretty popular and has been used for a long time.

Tim Burton cakes are pretty popular. The cake toppers are fun and exciting. Plus, you can do just about anything with the cake. Time Burton Halloween movies are cute and fun, which is exactly what you can do with the cake. There are a few examples of 'Nightmare Before Christmas' cakes below.

Halloween is a popular themed wedding idea, so when it comes to designing the cake, you may not know where to start. Below, you'll find pictures of Halloween wedding cakes, which will hopefully give you a place to start thinking.

There are a lot of ideas that you can come up with and a lot of Halloween themes, characters, and decorations that you can make into cake toppers. This is a fun way to get married. It's different when compared to the traditional white wedding, but not everyone wants a traditional white wedding.

I say if you're going to do something different, go all out, but you can't skimp on the cake. Find a good cake designer and have something special made. Just make sure that it's within the budget. You'll find that your Halloween cake will be something your friends and family will talk about for years. You'll definitely create fun memories that people will remember, when compared to a boring wedding you may have otherwise had.

Theme Wedding Ideas

Some people really like to create a theme, and sometimes it's easier to design and decorate a wedding ceremony and reception with a theme, but sometimes people go a little overboard. A simple romantic theme may not be big enough with just hearts, roses, and shades or red decorating the wedding. Instead, the couple may create a full on Valentine feel with huge hearts and cupids decorating the wedding.

But, even that theme is pretty simple. Sometimes, people go crazy and BIG with their wedding theme.

Tips for Decorating Your Wedding

When planning a wedding, you want everything to be perfect, or at least as perfect as it can be, so you want to make sure your decorations are gorgeous.

You don't have to spend a lot on your decorations, as it's all in how you plan them out. Keep thing simple, and they'll look elegant. Use candles and flowers, glass beads, and other odds-in-ends and things will look like you spend a fortune, when you really just ran to the dollar store and had your florist make a few small flower arrangements.

No matter where you plan on having your wedding ceremony and reception, you can set the mood however you like. It doesn't matter if you're on a boat, on the beach, in a garden, on a vineyard, or in a church. All you need to do is figure out what style an mood you want to set. For example, traditional weddings typically call for more candles and flowers and maybe even an ice sculpture.

You should also consider how much you're willing and able to spend on the decorations. Your budget may really determine what you're going to do to decorate your wedding and reception. It's best that you really plan out your decorations, otherwise you may not be able to avoid a mistake costing you to make budget cuts elsewhere.

It may be best to choose just a few decorations or one overall design, and give it a real impact. Try to get pictures of your venue and location before you start trying to figure out your decorations. Know where everything is and the general look so that you can figure out which decorations will be successful and which will actually create a detrimental look. You don't want to accent the most hideous part of the location, and there will always be something at the location that you don't like. The more you try to hide it, sometimes the more noticeable it will be.

Consider using seasonal decorations, like poinsettia candles or red/white candy cane candles for winter weddings. For winter weddings, you could use holly and berries as decoration. Keep it simple, or else you'll have to dress your wedding party in Santa and Mrs. Claus costumes. Although, cute, it may be a little silly, but it all depends on what you want and what setting and mood you want to create.

Depending on your location, you may not need that many decorative pieces, if any at all. You can actually save money, but having your wedding party transport the decoration from your wedding ceremony to your reception area, if they will be at two different locations.

Use your imagination and be creative when decorating your wedding.

Avoid Ugly Bridemaids Dresses

Great costume dress.

We've all seen the hideous bridesmaid dresses in movies and at actual real-life weddings. Some of them are absolutely to die for... I just don't understand it. The bride is supposed to like they're bridesmaids. Why dress them up in weird colors and embarrassing dresses? I certainly don't get it.

Some people say that the bride chooses awful bridesmaid dresses because she doesn't want her friends to outshine her on her day, but she doesn't realize that the uglier the dresses are, the more attention the guests pay to the bridesmaid than the bride.

There are so many dresses that a bride can choose, I swear the ugly ones are just magnets to those brides who really want the day to be ALL about her.

In order to avoid ugly bridesmaid dresses, try to follow some of the below tips:
1. Find a basic dress style that will accentuate your bridesmaids. They won't all be built the same, but remember that they don't have to have the exact same dress, just try to find the same color in different dresses that each accentuate the individual bridesmaid.
2. You won't be able to make everyone happy. Keep that in mind.
3. Take your bridesmaid out with you to try on dresses and to see what they like. Then go out on your own to see what you like. Compare them, narrow down the choices, and pick from there.
4. If all else fails, let them pick out their own dresses with your guidelines (color especially). If no one else likes it, it's their own fault.

Don't be that bride that has her bridesmaids standing next to her in tears. Tears, not because of happiness and joy, but embarrassment and shame from the dress they have to wear.

This hopefully went with a Beauty and the Beast theme wedding

I just don't even know what to say about this one. Maybe Easter?

Definitely a fairy theme here.

Choosing Bridesmaid Dresses

When planning your wedding, your dress is pretty important, but you have to consider the dresses of your bridesmaids. You don't want to be the bride that makes her friends wear hideous dresses, and you don't want to be the bride who just doesn't care.

Be nice about this. Please don't make your bridesmaids where neon pink dresses that have bright purple bows tied behind their back. It's not flattering the them, and it's not flattering to you or your wedding if you do that

One of the biggest choices that you will probably have when planning your wedding is probably going to be the dress. You want to find something that is going to accentuate your body while making all the girls at the ceremony jealous.

There are many dresses to choose from and many designers making different styles. You don't always have to go with the most expensive one. You will find that there are really nice dresses available for $500, you just have to find the right store that's having the sell. Just remember that you want to price different stores before you make your final decision. Check out wedding expos and larger dress stores, sometimes you'll find better deals than at the smaller boutiques

I Just Got Engaged- How to Avoid Being Bridezilla

First and foremost, you may be getting married, but this day isn't ONLY about you! Keep that in mind. Memorize it. Repeat it over and over again. I don't care how long you may or may not have been dreaming about this day, remember that your future husband does have a part in it, too. Your wedding day is a day where you AND your fiance come together in holy matrimony. Get over it, it's not all about you.

Once you can come to grasp with that fact, you can potentially avoid a lot of the bridezilla problems
