Incest Monster Terrified Prostitutes
May 8th 2008 01:00
Incest monster Josef Fritzl was a regular at a brothel 40 miles away from home where he ordered terrified prostitutes to pretend to be dead.
A former bartender at the bordello Christoph Flugel claimed Fritzl was so weird and domineering, girls at the club were reluctant to go with him. "None of the girls wanted to spend time in a room with him. Two of them even strictly refused to and did without the earnings." he said.
Christoph Flugel worked for six years at the Villa Ostende in Linz, 40 miles from Amstetten where Fritzl, 73 lived.
"He was a regular," said Mr Flugel. "At first sight there was nothing wrong with him. He was neatly dressed and courteous. But as soon as one of the girls he wanted to go upstairs with approached him, his mood changed. He was more into dominance than the pleasure of the sex act itself" he said.
"At the bar, he acted despotically. As soon as he found one of the girls attractive and ordered champagne, he said things like, 'sit straight!' or 'don't talk such sh**!'.
He added: "Ninety-five percent of customers are totally normal, three per cent are a bit weird. Fritzl belongs to the remaining two per cent that are definitely mentally ill.
But Fritzl went there again and again as the brothel changed its prostitutes every ten weeks. Mr Flugel continued: "I recognised Fritzl from the pictures in the papers and on TV. I will never forget his tight-fistedness too.
"When he had to pay 97 euros once he demanded I return the three euros in change from a 100 euro note. Working as a bartender, you never forget such behaviour, especially when working in a night club.
"This is unusual at brothels - you go there to have a good time. And upstairs, in a room, he got completely off the track. Two of the girls said 'never again with that guy. It has to do with pain. Or with a game where a girl is asked to play a corpse".
Prostitution is legal in Austria and the Villa Ostend charges customers about £70 per half hour.
Police have already revealed how he would drive miles to buy toiletries or sanitary items for his captive daughter Elisabeth and the children imprisoned with her so there would be no wagging tongues in his hometown.
I've always supported legalised prostitution, I think it goes a long way in keeping women safe. Not so with this monster, unfortunately it wasn't enough for him.
I was disappointed to hear the barman say that he thought he was mentally ill. I do hope his defence lawyers don't pick up on that, can you imagine seeing this man walk free into a cushy Austrian mental health facility? Please God, no!

this monster roamed free for over 70 years. I think, in a way, the public is at fault for not getting involved. Hmmm, it's a tough question... do we have a responsibility to watch those around us?

I was extremely disappointed when they removed him to a safe section of the jail, I was looking forward to him being tortured by the inmates.
No forgivness or apologies here for this animal.

If he is not nuts then there is nothing you can do but lock him up in a prison.
The doctors will determine that and the courts will decide if he is fit for trial.
I would not like to be in the jury as you would have to be superhuman to even be fair.

i saw a doco/movie on Ted Bundy where it became apparent he tested the boundaries for a very long time before feeling confident that noone cared, they depicted him carrying a body out to the car in full view of passers-by and noone even questioning him
its all a very sad comment on how we dont look after each other as a community
