Hate Painting My Nails

I haven't painted my nails in such a long time, but I bought a few different colors today... I came home and painted my nails... I put a few coats on them, waited a minute, but they weren't quite dry. I sprayed them with pam to dry them, and they still messed up.

I think it's funny that spray pam dries nail polish like none other.


But, anyway.... After spending the time to paint my nails and dry them, I still messed them up.

In 23 years, I have never been able to properly paint and dry my nails without messing them up. In most cases, I tend to end up removing the polish and just giving up.

I am determined to master the skill of nail painting without screwing it up somehow.

If anyone has any simple tips for painting finger nails, please share.

UGG Boots and Shoes

I have never been a big fan of the UGG boots, but they're super popular in the South. Girls wear them with jeans, dresses, shorts, and just about everything in-between. Personally, they are ugly, but I have seen women wear UGG shoes or boots with an outfit, and really have the shoe set off the outfit. I think that it's funny that by changing the purse or the shoe, the entire outfit changes, well this is the case with UGG shoes.

Again, I will probably never purchase a pair of UGG shoes for my own closet and shoe rack, but they can definitely be a nice shoe to accessorize with. Dependingin on what you choose to wear with the boot, you can definitely be a head turner.


There are tons of different optiosn to choose from ranging from UGGs for women, men, and children. There are the Classic UGG boots, slippers, tall boots, short boots, plaid boots, slip-on shoes, and tons of other options and designs that come in many colors ranging from camel, purple, black, red, purple, brown, tan, etc.

The boots and shoes are, for the most part, going to be suede, even the sandals and flip flops are a material. I don't like this idea, as when your feet sweat, and during the summer feet sweat, the sweat will seep into the material, and cause the sandal to stink. These shoes just aren't the easiest to clean, but hey, sometimes style is more important than comfort.

Crazy Five Finger KSO Shoes

I saw something about these shoes online a while back and had to check them out. I mean, who would really wear shoes that set their toes in individual pockets? Apparently, a lot of people wear them. Celebrities and average people wear these shoes when running and exercising, as they seem to help stimulate walking barefoot, which uses different muscles than when walking in sneakers.

These shoes remind me of the fun toe socks that were once a huge craze. I guess when the socks died down, shoes came up. Who knows.

Personally, I wouldn't wear any of these shoes, but they do come in differnet colors, but all the same basic style. Men and women can wear these shoes, but you won't ever find me in a pair, not even lounging around my own house.

Do Skechers Shape-Ups Work?

Everyone these days is trying to get in shape and stay in shape. Men and women are both fighting the fast food fat that has accumulated over the years. I mean, my own father has lost 27 pounds in just 4 months, and my mother about 10 pounds. I have co-workers who are dieting and eating better, and losing weight.

But, what about the exercise. Ok, so my dad's 27 pounds is attributed to tuna, raw eggs, and daily 10-20 mile runs on the Nordic Elyptical. But, not everyone is exercising, and in order to lose weight properly and safely, you really need to watch what you eat and exercise accordingly.

The Skechers Tone Up Shoes have been very popular. At first, they were shuned as they are not the most attractive sneaker, but after a few people purchased them, and actually experienced some changes and a difference, more people have been buying them.

What you want to watch out for is that they do not work wonders, and you do have to acclimate your body to the shoes. You have to start slowly with a 30 minutes to an hour a day to start with and then slowly increase your stamina. If you start wearing the shoes for long periods of time right off the bat, you may experience cramping in your legs, as well as lower body strain.

The shoes are meant to stimulate walking on sand, which uses more muscles in your legs and lower body than when walking on a non-giving surface, like tile or concrete flooring.

These shoes, when worn properly, can actually help your balance and work out any pain you may feel when on your feet for a while.

A lady at work purchased the shoes for her mother, who suffers severe back and leg pains from previous knee surgeries that she's had. After acclimating her body to the shoes, she wears them every day, except on Sundays to church. She doesn't have any leg or back pain any more, and she doesn't walk hunched over because of the pain. The same lady bought a pair for herself after seeing how much they helped her mother, and she claims that when she gets home from work, her feet don't feel nearly as tired after wearing the Skechers Shape Ups at work all day.

When dressing up for Halloween it can be a cute idea to go with your date as a couples matching costume.
