Choosing the Right Jeans

August 14th 2011 18:18
Jeans are hard to buy and can be hard to wear properly, especially if you don't have the right pair. When choosing the right pair of blue jeans, consider the guide below.

Consider jeans you'll wear to work. You'll want a casual jean that is alterable and be customized. A business casual jean is one that has a slight boot-cut leg with trouser-looking jean material. Consider a pair of jeans that has more of a dark wash to them and a front crease. Wear this style of blue jean with a pointy toe show to lengthen your leg, giving you a taller and slimmer appearance.

Find a blank canvas that you can dress up, down, or turn all around into your own look.

Avoid trendy jeans. Fashion jeans go out of trend so quickly, that sometimes it's not worth paying $50 or more for one pair of jeans that next week will be out of style. You want a jean that is more fashion-future. Brown, black, and grey are edgy jeans; skinny jeans make you look slimmer and curvier.

Buy larger size jeans. A slightly larger jean with a medium rise and medium leg width, is going to provide a casual and work jean that will flatter your hips and curves. You'll want a less formal wash that is more of a dark jean that will slim your legs and tend to appear more formal.

Look for age-appropriate jeans. So many women are looking for the trendy jeans, but women in their 40s can't necessarily wear the same jean as women in their 20s. But, in general women between 20 and 40 should look for plainer jeans without the bells and whistles. You don't want to look like you're trying to look young. You'll want a lighter wash that will call more attention to your legs, whereas a darker wash will hide your great shape.

Always keep in mind that if you find a pair of jeans that you really like and flatter your body, you'll want to buy two pairs. One you can wear with flats and one with heels.

Cute Couples Costume Ideas

October 25th 2009 13:11
When dressing up for Halloween it can be a cute idea to go with your date as a couples matching costume. You could try something silly like Ketchup and Mustard, or you can go sexy like a pimp and hoe. There are many costume options that you can consider when dressing as a pair. There are many that are flattering to both parties.

You don't have to go in a male/female pair, either. You and your best friend can go together in a female/female pair, or men can go together as well. It really just depends on what you want to do. Halloween is getting close, so you'll probably want to decide really quickly what you and your partner will be for Halloween because all the good costumes will be taken and all the good ideas will already be in place. The last thing that you want to do is to show up at the party as a ball and chain and two other couples already had that idea.

Women's Sexy Halloween Costume Ideas

October 23rd 2009 12:42
Sexy costumes are all the rage, and this can be an issue for younger teens, but if you're old enough to go out without mom and dad's permission your options are so much more varied. Just remember to obey mom and dad if you have to, but if you don't then go with whatever is within your comfort level.

You want to be safe and have fun.

Popular Sexy Halloween Costumes for Women

* Sexy cop costume
* Sexy school girl costume
* Sexy nurse costume
* Sexy maid costume
* Sexy goth costumes

If you're wanting to go gothic for Halloween, you opt for any of the common costumes, but in a goth attire, you can make or purchase gothic nurse costumes, goth school girl costumes, gothic maids, etc. When going goth, remember dark is the key- black clothes, black nail polish, dark or red lip stick, chokers, etc.

No matter what costume you choose, you can make it sexy. Just remember to have the attitude along with the skin and cleavage. Remember slutty is not always sexy, so you don't have to be whorish to be sexy.

If you're a woman with a few curves and you're worried about having to be a frumpy old maid for Halloween, don't worry because you can be sexy too. There are many sexy plus sized costumes that you can choose from, and as long as you wear them at appropriate sizes- not baggy or skin tight- you can be and will be sexy.

When dressing up sexy, just be careful, as many people can get the wrong idea. A little off subject of sexy costumes for Halloween, but on a 'Cops' episode, a lady tried to dress sexy her first time in Las Vegas, but ended up being confused as a hooker. Although, it was pretty funny, it was sad as it was purely an accident on her part. Just be careful of where you go and where you walk if you're going to be walking around with little clothes and a lot of cleavage showing.

Depending on what costume you choose, I'd recommend a long jacket of some kind if you plan on walking around the streets. The last thing you want to do is to call mom and dad, boyfriend or husband, whoever saying that you got pulled into jail in confusion of a hooker. Although, it would make for a funny story later on, it's just not going to be too funny at that moment.

But anyway, there are many costume ideas that you can choose from. Just have fun and be comfortable in whatever you choose.

Picking Blue Jeans for Your Body Type

August 14th 2009 18:03
Depending on your body type, you probably have found that you just can't fit into every style of jean, and not all jeans fit into you. The best thing to do is to assess the situation. What is your body type? And let's go from there.

Assuming that you know what body shape you have, you'll want to check out the following suggestion for blue jeans for your body.

Have a slight belly
For women with a slight belly, you want to select a moderate rise jean that is about 8-9 inches from crotch to waist. You want to waist band to hit just below your belly button so that it covers your stomach, reining in the problem. You can even find some jeans that have a wide waistband sometimes with a little bit of stretch material which will provide a subtle girdle effect.

You may want to consider jeans with a slight flare to offset your middle area.

Hourglass figure
If you have a bit of a curvier body, you'll want jeans that are cut higher in the back to fit over your bottom area, keeping it and you covered. You'll also want to find a jean that has a contoured wasitband because this will help reduce gapping, since hourglass figures are known for small waits. You can determine the contoured waistband by the seam indicating that it was cut on a curve and sewn together versus being one piece of material.

Tapered legs will flatter your hips more. You'll generally find that you'll have more room in the thigh area and less toward the ankle.

Full hips and thighs
You want to find a contoured waistband with a high rise in the back. You want to make sure that the front rise isn't less than eight inches. The waistband should be worn at the hipbone or belly button in order to cut into the body at the widest spot, holding in and slimming the thighs. You want to stick with fabrics that have no more than 2% stretch material.

Wide leg pants will offer a roomier fit for your thighs; just make sure that the jeans are cut for wide legs and that you didn't purchase a size too large.

You can also consider pants that have straight leg style with a more ankle-hugging leg.

Straight Figure
If you have more of a straight figure, pretty much anything goes in terms of the rise and the style of jean. You can get away with low-riders, high-waisted cuts, light washes, and heavily adorned designs. But, you'll want to stick with jeans that flatter your body type the best, which will be those with a slimmer, tighter fit and a waistband that runs across the middle. If the jean has a waistband that is curved too much, it can create a highly unflattering look and spillage in the rear.

Jeans that flare out at the knees in order to provide the illusion of curves. Low rise jeans with a snug fit will play up your legs, and by wearing a sailor-style jean with back pockets you can give umph to your bum and bring focus to your hips.

Pear Shape
Wear darker jeans to make your hips look less wide. Your legs are a little shorter because and your thighs a little plumper, so consider a jean that is straight cut with the illusion of long legs.

Apple Shape
Counter balance your wide upper area with a pair of jeans that doesn't taper at the bottom. Boot cut or flared jeans are great because they make your body more proportioned. Low rise jeans are also flattering because you have slim hips.

Types of Women's Panties

June 16th 2009 13:47
There are so many different types of panties that women can choose from and it's hard sometimes to pick the right ones, especially since most of them go by multiple names. One store may call them hi-cuts where another may refer to them as French cut briefs. I believe I've listed most of them. If I've missed something, please let me know in the comments below.

Classic/Granny/Full Briefs- Although comfortable, the full panty is just not so attractive if you're 20, but what's a panty drawer without at least one pair of granny panties?

Hi-Cut/French Cut Briefs- The hi-cut brief is sort of like a bikini, sitting above the hips but closer to the waist. The sides are narrow and sit high.

Boyshorts/Girlshorts/Boy Leg- Boyshorts provide more coverage than the hipster, and have wider sides.

Hipsters/Hiphuggers- Hipsters sit on the hips and are sort of like briefs except the the top half is not there, giving the sides more material and an overall fuller coverage in the back than with the bikini or hi-cut brief.

Tangas/Cheekys- These are higher cut in the back so to show more of the cheek. They typically have a bikini or hipster design in the front with the high cut in the back, showing more rear-end.

Bikini/String Bikini- The bikini and string bikini have full coverage in the back and sit higher on the hips rather than the waist. The bikini has a thin, narrow side, and the sting bikini has a string width side.

Thong/G-String/V-String/T-Back- These teeny, tiny panties are sexy. They typically have thin sides and an even thinner rear end, leaving nearly the entire butt open. Depending on style, the width of the bottom and back material will vary, making it a G-string, V-string, T-back, or plain thong.

These basic styles can come in so many altering appearances, so when it comes to choosing new panties, it can be a pain to decide which to add to your basket. I've seen bikinis, thongs, G-strings, and V-strings have skirts added to the front. I've even seen cheekies, designed the same way.

For the most part, the panties that you prefer will depend on what you feel is comfortable and sexy.

When it comes time to picking out a new swim suit, whether you get one every year or your old one is plain worn out, you want to make sure that you pick a bathing suit that fits your body's shape. If you know the simple tips and what to look for when choosing a bathing suit, it can be simple. Just remember that you know your body best, and you'll be the woman wearing the swim suit, so just because the trend of the year says to wear a big buckle, it doesn't mean that you have to.

* Apple Shapes- You have broader shoulders and smaller hips, so you'll want to consider a two-piece bikini or a tankini with a solid colored top with a patterned bottom. This will give you a more balanced appearance
