Choosing the Right Jeans

Jeans are hard to buy and can be hard to wear properly, especially if you don't have the right pair. When choosing the right pair of blue jeans, consider the guide below.
Consider jeans you'll wear to work. You'll want a casual jean that is alterable and be customized. A business casual jean is one that has a slight boot-cut leg with trouser-looking jean material. Consider a pair of jeans that has more of a dark wash to them and a front crease. Wear this style of blue jean with a pointy toe show to lengthen your leg, giving you a taller and slimmer appearance.
Find a blank canvas that you can dress up, down, or turn all around into your own look.
Avoid trendy jeans. Fashion jeans go out of trend so quickly, that sometimes it's not worth paying $50 or more for one pair of jeans that next week will be out of style. You want a jean that is more fashion-future. Brown, black, and grey are edgy jeans; skinny jeans make you look slimmer and curvier.
Buy larger size jeans. A slightly larger jean with a medium rise and medium leg width, is going to provide a casual and work jean that will flatter your hips and curves. You'll want a less formal wash that is more of a dark jean that will slim your legs and tend to appear more formal.
Look for age-appropriate jeans. So many women are looking for the trendy jeans, but women in their 40s can't necessarily wear the same jean as women in their 20s. But, in general women between 20 and 40 should look for plainer jeans without the bells and whistles. You don't want to look like you're trying to look young. You'll want a lighter wash that will call more attention to your legs, whereas a darker wash will hide your great shape.
Always keep in mind that if you find a pair of jeans that you really like and flatter your body, you'll want to buy two pairs. One you can wear with flats and one with heels.
